Branding and sponsorship architecture for world-class robotics

Gadjah Mada Robotic Team (GMRT) is UGM’s flagship university robotics contingent, competing annually in the Indonesian Robotics Contest (KRI) and global competitions like the RoboCup across humanoid, wheeled soccer, autonomous aerial, and search-and-rescue divisions.

While the engineering divisions pushed the boundaries of embedded systems, computer vision, and mechanical design, our management team focused on securing the institutional partnerships, sponsorships, and digital visibility required to fund competitive robots.

  • Role: Management Team, Creative & Web Administrator
  • Key Deliverables: Corporate sponsorship proposal decks, annual sponsor performance reports, official social media campaigns, and web presence
  • Core Focus: Translating complex engineering achievements into persuasive value propositions for corporate partners and university leadership

Translating robotics engineering into corporate proposals

Building competitive robots requires substantial capital for specialized microcontrollers, high-torque actuators, sensors, and precision machining. My primary responsibility was architecting clear, professionally designed sponsorship proposal decks.

I worked closely with divisional leads to distill complex technical specifications into compelling stories of innovation and national prestige, directly supporting GMRT’s sponsorship acquisition pipeline.

Digital storytelling for university pride

In addition to sponsorship collateral, I managed GMRT’s public digital presence—showcasing robot field tests, team milestones, and competition recaps. Presenting robotics as an inspiring, accessible discipline helped recruit top engineering talent and maintained strong engagement from alumni and corporate supporters.
