Creative Co-Director, PPSMB Palapa 2019 Action Plan
Yogyakarta, Indonesia – Aug 2019
Welcoming 9,000+ new students with digital media and web platforms
PPSMB Palapa is Universitas Gadjah Mada’s flagship university-wide orientation program, welcoming over 9,000 incoming freshmen each year. Within the Action Plan (Poerbatjaraka cluster), our mission was to coordinate, engage, and orient new students through unified digital and physical media.
As Creative Co-Director, I led the digital architecture and creative production for the cluster, ensuring that thousands of new students had immediate access to essential orientation guidelines, tasks, and schedules.
- Role: Creative Co-Director
- Platform Delivery: Designed and launched
poerbatjaraka.comas the dedicated online portal for cluster information and assignment tracking - Creative Output: Produced visual identity branding, event posters, logistical banners, and directed the official Action Plan After Movie
- Field Operations: Assisted teammates across event security, cluster coordination, and ground logistics in the university sports stadium
Deploying high-traffic orientation web tools
During orientation week, student traffic spikes dramatically as thousands of freshmen check instructions simultaneously. Building a lightweight, mobile-responsive website ensured that students could access task descriptions, submission guidelines, and cluster announcements without technical hiccups.
The rush of large-scale campus operations
Executing PPSMB Palapa was my first hands-on experience managing high-pressure logistics for a university event of massive scale. Working in tandem with stage, security, and logistics divisions on the ground provided an invaluable early lesson in operational discipline and team coordination.
